Project Description:
6 no. plate girder beams fabricated at Britons yard in Hucknall and treated to 1900 series HE specification Type II. Beams were delivered to site in pairs 2 weeks prior to installation to allow the Main Contractor to for permanent formwork and Para-slim falsework at low level; thus, reducing safety critical work at height. Britons in-house installation crew installed the bridge components over 1 no weekend closure using a 750-tonne mobile crane.
